In 2025, Live 2 Serve hosted 12 teams in Guatemala and served one month in Mexico. This year, 2026, we are off to a strong start with God presenting more opportunities and growing our ministry. We have 10 teams partnering with us this year in Guatemala; taking on construction projects, bible school for kids, women's ministry, medical clinics, evangelism and training seminars for pastors and leaders.
Outside of teams:
Currently in El Rancho, Guatemala, we are building a ministry center behind the first church that we planted in 2019. It will serve the community well with a full kitchen to provide widows and children with proper nutritional meals, bible classes for kids, as well as vocational training such as welding, plumbing, and electrical. We will also offer classes for any one who would like to learn how to read, write, and/or learn the English language. Our prayers for this center is for children to learn how to live a Christ centered life and a trade to offer an opportunity for a better and healthier life.
We are still going strong with discipleship training at the church in El Rancho. The church is growing and the community is moving in a positive way.
The construction of the church in Escuintla is for the most part complete. Minor repairs and some cosmetic touch ups will be a task for this summer. But this has not stopped services.
Church services are being held and we are trusting that in God's time, this building will be filled to the maximum capacity with locals worshiping Jesus as their savior. The kids program is growing by leaps and bounds and we are blessed with an amazing/gifted teacher who loves the Lord.
Thankfully, through Independent Missionary Network we are learning more about the country we love and the available resources. Our efforts in working with remote pastors is going strong and we are moving further out into the frontier. Meaning moving beyond known, settled or safe territory. Stepping into the unknown. It implies a deeper, more committed push into uncharted area. Does this make us uneasy at times......Absolutely! But we know who goes before us.
Jody and I are dedicated in doing all that the Lord calls us to do. We know that HE is FAITHFUL and we will be obedient. Where HE leads, we WILL follow.
